Tour Description

Up until 1954, Puducherry was a French colonial settlement, which explains why several areas of the city have distinctly European flair, French street names, and colonial structures. The 1968 founding of this experimental community, Auroville, is devoted to promoting peace and human harmony. It is a global network that supports spiritual development and sustainable living. A spiritual community and meditation centre founded by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother is called Sri Aurobindo Ashram. It provides a peaceful setting for introspection and sheds light on their ideology. Puducherry is home to several lovely beaches, such as Serenity Beach, Paradise Beach, and Promenade Beach, which are ideal for leisure and beautiful scenery. Wide boulevards, quaint cafes, and colourful facades of buildings from the colonial era may be seen in the French Quarter, sometimes called the White Town.
